Philosophy
I believe that the value of a handmade Knife is behind its use. It is the sheer pleasure of owning a “beautiful thing”, of being able to look at it, to touch it, to take in its lines, to savour each detail, and especially to recognize its style. This is the reason why I take great care in all details, so that each Knife will be unique, precious, with finishes that only an accurate handmade job can give. Time is never measured, being mostly paid back by my own satisfaction. I am starting this adventure aware of being only the last ring of a chain whose start is lost in the beginning of time. It is my pleasure to give the appeal of a personal touch to one of the most common objects. |
Goal |
My goal is to offer a series of Knives that will satisfy the requirements of Knife lovers, by a technical point of view as well as by beauty standards. As for every real Custom made product, I am willing to satisfy each Client’s specific requests. |
Guarantees |
Each Knife is guaranteed for 12 months from delivery. The guarantee covers all inconveniences. Within this period of time the Knife will be repaired or substituted. The guarantee will no longer be valid if the Knife shows clear evidence of improper use, or of accidental falls. |

Materials
My Knives are made of stainless steel ATS-34. I personally treat the steel in an electronically controlled temperature oven. Steel is heated up to 1.040°C for 30 minutes, cooled in special oil and brought back to a temperature of 500/530°C for an hour. Blades hardness after treatment is 59-60 HRC. Handles are made of different materials, always very hard and of first quality to endure time. Sheaths, smooth or embossed skin, are handmade and realized in naturally treated leather, artificial sinew sewing. |

The Knives
I begin taking a bar of steel and tracing the outline of the blade, then I remove the amount of metal needed. After treatment of the blade I taper the tang and proceed with various steps to give the blade either a glazed satin or shiny finish. I then affix the bolsters using 416 stainless steel with two pins made of the same type of steel. The pins are left slightly long and then the ends are carefully peened over. I give my knives a personal imprint by embossing the flat blade area, which leaves an orange peel effect. The same procedure is used on the indented part of the bolster, and, upon request, on the surface of the entire bolster, which leaves a finish which is more resistant to abrasions. I then proceed fixing the slabs with stainless steel screws or mosaic pins. The entire handle is polished to a perfect finish by using a special wax. I complete the knife by marking my logo on the blade with an electrochemical etching process. |
